Uschi Henkes is a leading figure in contemporary visual culture in Spain. Since the 1980s, she has transformed the language of advertising, taking it into more artistic and disruptive territory. She co-founded Zapping Visual Agency, became the first woman to serve as president of the Club de Creativos (2017–2019), and received the C de C de Honor distinction in recognition of her career at the National Creativity Awards.

Alongside this career, she has pursued a rigorous and independent artistic practice for over two decades, operating outside the art market. Through her artistic interventions in photographic images, she explores human vulnerability and the processes by which individuals are rendered socially invisible, approaching these themes from a deeply personal perspective.

Her extensive and interdisciplinary body of work encompasses large-scale projects such as Admiration of the Unadmired, in which art becomes an urgent ethical act, confronting the realities of the present and calling for collective responsibility.
